Due to the complexity of the environment and the transnational character of inland navigation, the challenges of the future have to be solved on cross-border level.

Within WANDA, nine partners representing national authorities, infrastructure operators as well as research institutes from the entire Danube Region are working together towards a better future for the Danube. The coordination is carried out by via donau – the Austrian Waterway Company as Lead Partner.
