Project Structure of WANDA (© M. Schedlbauer, via donau)

In order to guarantee efficient workflow, clear responsibilties and  high quality outputs, the WANDA project was structured into six work packages (WP).

  • WP 1: Transnational Project Management and Coordination
  • WP 2: Internal and External Project Communication
  • WP 3: Elaboration of Ship Waste Management Concepts
  • WP 4: Implementation of Pilot Activities for Ship Waste Management
  • WP 5: Development of a Financing Model for oily and greasy ship waste
  • WP 6: Coordination of concepts and pilot activities along the River Danube

The core Project Team consists of the Project Manager and the Work package Leaders. It is the operative project management body and therefore responsible for the implementation of project activties. For instance one main task is the harmonisation of executed activities of the different workpackages.

The Steering Committee is the supervising body of the project on a strategic level and composed of high-ranking representatives of all project partners. The activities of the Steering Committee are supported by the Advisory Expert Group, which consists of representatives of the Observer organisations.

An overview of the areal focus of project acitivities is given on the map below.
