WANDA: A cross border approach to the management of oily and greasy ship wastes

Several studies elaborated in the late 1990s and early 2000s propose the establishment of a harmonized ship waste management system along the Danube River. The project WANDA aims at closing these gaps facilitating pilot activities for the collection and treatment of (hazardous) ship wastes beyond national borders. The focuses of activities are the collection and treatment of oily and greasy ship wastes (bilge water, used oil, etc.).
